This was our first camping experience at Myakka. One of our club members was good friends with the owner of the Hermann Family Lippizan Stallions from Austria. Their winter home is in Myakka City. Our club, the Palm Beach Gold Coasters, spends a few days there each year camping out in the horse pasture. What an amazing time! We have no hookups at all so it's primitive camping at it's best. The coaches are all in a circle with a huge, 24 hour campfire in the center. We set up a cooking tent and in some years other tents to protect the group from bad weather.
